This night photography workshop was meticulously designed to expand on the traditional night photography techniques of light painting, star trails, moonscapes, twilight scenes and of course the Milky Way. These dates were specifically chosen to teach you our tips and tricks in combining enchanted moonscapes and the stars, thus creating powerful night images.

These dates were chosen specifically to combine moonscapes with the stars.
Limited to a small group of 10 students with 2 instructors to ensure that everyone receives 1:1 attention.
This photography workshop is open to all experience levels, from beginner to advanced all are welcome.
This workshop will require moderate hiking. Most hikes are 2 miles or less through rocky or sandy terrain.

Explore these relics of the wild west, steeped in the rich history of the Gold Rush.
Having the freedom to base camp near our locations allows us more field time.

Private Photography Tour of and Ancient Cave System
Sunset and blue hour shoot amongst volcanic peaks
We will stay to play with light at night.
Mid-Morning we venture into the lava tube to capture light rays
Capturing scenes, from sunset well into the night at an old mining camp.
Our sunrise location is quite literally a desert garden, full of Joshua trees and staghorn cholla
Once settled in at camp we capture the night at another ghost town.
We pack up camp and move to our next location, an old west ranch. We will photograph sunset and well into night at this photographer's playground. Really get creative with light painting.
Our last morning we will get creative with granite boulders and Joshua trees in the pastel colors of a desert sunrise.
Optional Group breakfast before we head back to reality.
Watch your head! This workshop features not one, but two underground locations. We kick off the workshop with an entirely different experience. Our first location is a private photography tour of
Mitchell Caverns in the foothills of the Mojave Desert.

PRE & POST
Prior to the start of the workshop, we will hold a zoom classroom session. We only get to visit each photography location once and we want you to be fully prepared to capture the best images possible.
Following our time in the field, we will come back together for a post workshop, epic edit session, each instructor will walk you through their entire editing process and the best news is you get to sit back and learn, everything is screen recorded for you to review at your own pace.

You will want to fly into
LAS VEGAS AIRPORT, arrive before 10am the first day.
Campground near our 1st location (2hr Drive from Las Vegas Airport)
These are backcountry roads, this means a high clearance 4X4 vehicle is required.
Leave the cooking up to us, breakfast and dinner are provided on this workshop in true camping style.
In field photography instruction, Post processing instruction and photo critiques are the best part!
PRE & POST
Spend more time in nature. Then come back to relive those moments with a session in the digital dark room.
Flights / car transportation are not included we are helping attendees source capable, fully equipped vehicles
LUNCH & SNACKS
We will provide breakfast and dinner, but you will be responsible for your own lunch and snacks.
With any adventure, it is recommended you have travel insurance, especially for medical emergencies
OVERLAND VEHICLE RENTAL
If you do not own you own overlanding rig, please contact us to assist in securing a capable vehicle. No previous dirt road driving experience is required. We will show you the way.
Due to liability, rental and insurance agreements, clients will be responsible for fees and paperwork related to the rental vehicles. If you have your own overlanding rig this does not apply. Rental fees are NOT included in the tuition cost of the workshop and can range from $199 - $300 per day.
