Listen up, flower power people! This workshop is gonna be more colorful than a unicorn's dream. We're talking pastel blues of the Colorado columbine, vibrant pinks of Indian paintbrush, and a whole lotta other native blooms that will make your eyes pop like fireworks. And don't even get me started on the scenery, towering peaks that'll make you feel like a microscopic ant. 🌸 🏕 📷
TRIP DATES

These dates were chosen specifically to capture the wildflowers in peak bloom.
TRIBE SIZE
Limited to a small group of 8 students with 3 instructors to ensure that everyone receives 1:1 attention.
DIFFICULTY LEVEL
This photography workshop is open to all experience levels, from beginner to advanced all are welcome.
HIKING
This workshop will require moderate hiking (no more than 1 mile) through Rocky terrain at high elevations.
WILDFLOWERS
The dates for this workshop were chosen to have the best chance at peak wildflower bloom in alpine meadows.
MILKY WAY
Get ready for dark skies, the high altitude and remote nature of this workshop make it perfect for night photos.
HORSEBACK TOUR
Experience the the true wild west, these mountains are full of rich history and back country locations.
OVERLANDING
Because of the freedom we gain from base camping near our locations allows us more time in the field shooting!

DAY 1
Meet and Greet, Sunset, Blue Hour, and Milky Way

The Colorado Rocky Mountain adventure kicks off in Silverton, CO at 12:00. We will set out for our first sunset shooting session. Then setup camp for the night to capture the stars.
DAY 2
Sunrise, Sunset, Blue Hour, and Milky Way
...
We start the day photographing fields of wildflowers in the Rocky Mountains at sunrise. Then off to our next location unforgettable night of shooting the sunset, blue hour and the stars.
DAY 3
Sunrise, Sunset, Blue Hour, and Milky Way
...
Another morning of shooting Colorado wildflowers, we'll break down camp and adventure to our next base camp for sunset & starry night shoot in Colorado's Rocky Mountains.
DAY 4
Sunrise, Breakfast, Goodbyes
...
On the last day, we'll spend the morning chasing wildflowers framed by Rocky Mountain peaks. We'll wrap up our amazing time over breakfast before breaking down camp and heading out.
OPTIONAL
DAY 5/6
A guided horseback ride to backcountry locations. Spend the day riding through the San Juan Mountains. Our Colorado Rocky Mountain adventure doesn't end there, a ghost town under the stars for our last day of shooting.

Giddy up on a guided horseback ride to breathtaking backcountry locations, where you can snap some pics of stunning wildflowers, majestic mountain peaks, and if we're lucky, even some wild critters! It's like traveling back in time, but with better technology and fewer bandits.

Before we hit the ground running, we'll have a virtual rendezvous on Zoom. Trust us, we're like ninjas when it comes to photography, and we only have one shot (pun intended) to capture the perfect shots. So, we want to make sure you're well-equipped and ready to rock 'n' roll!

We're talking an epic editing session where each instructor will spill their secrets and show you how to turn your photos into masterpieces. And the best part? You get to kick back, relax, and soak it all in because we're recording everything for you to binge-watch at your leisure.

ALBUQUERQUE AIRPORT, DURANGO AIRPORT or MONTROSE AIRPORT, arrive before 12pm the first day.

SILVERTON, CO (5hr Drive from Albuquerque Airport, 1.5hr Drive from Durango & Montrose Airport)
4X4 REQUIRED
These are backcountry roads, this means a high clearance 4X4 vehicle is required.

With any adventure, it is recommended you have travel insurance, especially for medical emergencies
OVERLAND VEHICLE RENTAL
If you do not own you own overlanding rig, please contact us to assist in securing a capable vehicle. No previous dirt road driving experience is required. We will show you the way.
Due to liability, rental and insurance agreements, clients will be responsible for fees and paperwork related to the rental vehicles. If you have your own overlanding rig this does not apply. Rental fees are NOT included in the tuition cost of the workshop and can range from $199 - $300 per day.
