STORM CHASE ARIZONA
SOUTHWEST MONSOONS + MILKY WAY
Grab you rain jacket for a Stormy Photography Workshop in Northern Arizona. Every summer the skies of Arizona take a dramatic turn filling with electric monsoon clouds and this is the best time to capture the power of a southwest storm over some of the most magical landscapes Arizona has to offer. In fact the state gets its name from this wonder of the world, the Grand Canyon. As the sun sets and the clouds clear we will photograph the summer Milky Way shimmering over this jaw dropping location.
With luck on our side these storms bring the opportunity for pristine pools of rain water to gather and create mirror-like reflections in small pockets of the Arizona desert. During the night hours in this otherworldly landscape, you will feel like you are photographing water on the moon. In addition to mastering techniques for photographing these unique scenes, you'll also learn how to capture the drama of epic weather systems and dazzling night scenes.

ADD-ON DAY 1
Now, picture this: We'll be strolling through Sedona, crossing our fingers for some cosmic luck. Why, you ask? Because if the stars align (literally), we might just capture the Milky Way doing its radiant dance in shimmering reflection pools. It's like a celestial photoshoot, folks!
As the sun bids us farewell, we'll witness sunsets that are pure magic. Think rainbows popping out of nowhere, neon clouds swirling around, and all of this happening amidst those glorious, glowing red rock formations.
ADD-ON DAY 2
Surrounded by these mesmerizing red rock formations, adding a person in the frame is like having a pint-sized action figure against the backdrop of an otherworldly sandbox.
Here's the twist: we're secretly hoping for a monsoon storm to crash this party, complete with thunder and lightning that dances like pop star. We will capture the sunrise in all its glory and then we'll gear up again for a night of shooting stars that'll make even Picasso jealous. Yup, it's like getting a VIP ticket to the galaxy's hottest concert!
ADD-ON DAY 3
On our final day, we'll be strapping on our hiking boots and venturing into a forested canyon that's so enchanting, it could be straight out of a fairytale. A gurgling stream, cascading down creating magnificent pools that are just begging for a cannonball contest. After we've frolicked in nature's playground, we'll head over to the Northern Rim of the Grand Canyon. We'll soak in the jaw-dropping vistas, pretending to be rugged explorers while secretly wondering if the next taco stand is just around the bend.
